XTrust Guard is a Windows application that watches over a computer while nobody is using it. It protects privacy, monitors the state of the device and records anything that departs from the norm — and when the user returns, it restores the workstation to exactly the state it was in beforehand.
Close the lid — everything goes quiet
The moment the lid closes, Wi-Fi, the microphone and the camera are switched off at the system level — not covered, off. The program listens for new processes and newly connected devices, records every event locally with its time and context, and raises an audible alarm. Open the lid and everything returns to exactly its previous state.
What it covers
- Privacy protection — restricts access to audio and video capture devices while the workstation is unattended
- Workstation oversight — detects activity during the user's absence and signals it immediately
- A local event record — the time and context of every event, stored only on this computer
- Device state monitoring — tracks power, connectivity and how the system behaves in energy-saving modes
- Automatic restoration — settings return to exactly their previous state once the user is back
- Runs in the background — lives in the system tray and stays out of the way of everyday work
Data stays on the device
The application runs entirely locally. The event record and the licence never leave the computer, and the program needs no internet connection at all — neither to activate nor afterwards. That matters wherever the workstation handles confidential information.
Requirements
Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit, a portable computer, and administrator privileges — without them the application cannot manage the devices it protects.
Licence and trial
At launch we will offer a 7-day trial — no account, no registration — and a perpetual single-seat licence with the key emailed right after purchase. Activation happens inside the application without any network connection, and moving to another computer simply means entering the same key.
